About
My name is Anastasiia Molotkova
Hi, I’m Anastasiia Molotkova. I am a mental health counselor in Florida, practicing under clinical supervision as I work toward full licensure. I provide online therapy with a warm, structured, and collaborative approach.
I have a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Barry University in Miami, Florida, and have been working with clients in a clinical setting.
I hold both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Architecture and Historic Preservation, and this creative and analytical background continues to shape my identity as a therapist today. My experience in design taught me to look beneath the surface, understand systems and patterns, and thoughtfully support transformation and growth — perspectives that naturally became part of my therapeutic approach.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent many years working with children and families in roles connected to art, architecture, and education. This background deeply shaped my understanding of emotional expression, development, and human behavior, and continues to inform my clinical work today.
I specialize in supporting clients navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, immigration experiences, career transitions, and cultural identity challenges. As a Russian-American who has lived in Florida for over nine years, I also bring a personal understanding of cultural adaptation and identity shifts.
Я свободно говорю по-русски и буду рада поддержать вас на русском языке или в русско-английском формате.
My goal is to offer a space where you feel seen, supported, and understood, and where we can work together toward greater clarity, stability, and connection to yourself.

What We Can Work Through Together
Below are some of the main areas I work with based on my clinical training, experience, and professional interests. This is not a complete list of what I support clients with. If you’re unsure whether this is the right fit for you, you’re welcome to reach out or schedule a free 15-minute consultation to talk further.

Trauma &
Emotional Healing
I work primarily with women healing from trauma, using a trauma-informed, somatic approach that focuses on emotional safety and mind-body connection. I integrate mindfulness and art-informed techniques to support processing, regulation, and reconnection with
self.

Carrying pain from past experiences
-
Struggling to feel safe, calm, or grounded
-
Having difficulty relaxing or constantly feeling “on edge”
-
Experiencing sleep issues or trouble fully resting
-
Feeling disconnected from yourself or your body
-
Stuck in patterns you can’t seem to break

Stress,
Anxiety & Depression
I work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, overwhelm, self-doubt, emotional burnout, and feelings of being stuck or disconnected from themselves. Together, we work toward greater emotional clarity, stability, healthier coping patterns, and a stronger connection to yourself.

Feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or constantly overthinking
-
Struggling to relax or “turn your mind off”
-

-

-
Disconnected from yourself or your emotions

Transitions &
Adjustments
I support clients navigating identity shifts and life transitions such as immigration, career changes, educational stress, relationship changes, cultural adaptation, and major life adjustments. Depending on your needs, our work may be short-term and goal-focused or longer-term and more exploratory.
You might be...
-
Going through a major life change and feeling overwhelmed
-
Adjusting to a new country, culture, or environment
-
Questioning your identity, direction, or purpose
-
Navigating career or educational stress
-
Going through relationship changes or life transitions
-
Feeling lost, stuck, or unsure what’s next

Immigration & Cultural Adjustment
As an immigrant who moved to a new country alone, I understand that this transition is not only about a new language, education, or career path, but also about forming a new sense of identity. I also bring an understanding of Eastern European culture, values, and family dynamics, which can be especially supportive for clients with similar backgrounds.
Immigration is often more than a practical transition—it can be a profound shift in identity, bringing both growth and challenges, including stress, loss, or grief. I support clients in navigating both the emotional and practical aspects of this process.
Our work may be short-term and goal-focused, using approaches such as CBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing, or longer-term and more exploratory, focusing on identity, belonging, and deeper emotional processing.
I offer therapy in English, Russian, or a combination of both, depending on what feels most comfortable.

KIDS * Childhood & Parenting Support
With over 10 years of experience working with children and families, I bring a developmentally informed and intuitive approach to supporting both children and parents. My work focuses on understanding a child’s emotional world while also helping parents feel more equipped, connected, and confident in their role.
I integrate art-informed therapy, TF-CBT, and DBT-informed skills depending on the needs of the child and family system.
Therapy for children is most effective when caregivers are actively involved in the process, and when appropriate, collaboration with other supports such as teachers or providers is included.
Please note that in-person sessions are often recommended for work with children. Availability and format can be discussed prior to scheduling to ensure the best fit for your child’s needs.
Your child or family might be...
-
Struggling with big emotions, meltdowns, or anxiety
-
Having difficulty with sleep, transitions, or daily routines
-
Feeling overwhelmed, sensitive, or easily frustrated
-
Going through changes at home, school, or within the family
-
Having challenges with behavior, communication, or social interactions
-
Showing signs of stress, withdrawal, or low mood
-
Needing more support, understanding, or connection
-
And you, as a parent, may feel unsure how best to help

ART-Informed Therapy
I offer an art-informed approach to therapy that integrates creativity with traditional talk therapy. With a background in art, architecture, and design, I bring a creative and visual lens to the therapeutic process.
This approach can be especially helpful for individuals who process experiences more visually, feel more comfortable expressing themselves through imagery or creativity, or find traditional talk therapy challenging. It can also be supportive for neurodivergent clients, children, and individuals working through trauma, where nonverbal expression can offer a different pathway to understanding and healing.
